Shamrocks Provincial Champs After Dousing Flames

by Owen Munro

The Jr. B Tier 1 Shamrocks are the Provincial champions, trouncing the visiting South Okanagan Flames 16-4 in game 2 of the 2-game, total-goal affair taking the series by a score of 27-10 overall.

Just about every Shamrock player hit the scoresheet in game 2 but it was Davis McCulley leading the offense with 4 goals and 1 assist although Jonathon Boyd had a 7-point night on 2 goals and 5 helpers.

Cameron Lumb had a hat trick for the second straight game and added an assist.  Nolan Dalep picked up the win in goal as the season now comes to an end for the Tier 1 squad.

Victoria joins Delta as the two provincial and league champions, respectively. The Coquitlam Adanacs are headed to the Founders' Cup in Winnipeg that starts tomorrow.
